Sunday (1-10) me and a few CTF players had a few real cool CTF games.
Then some players sugested to have this again next sunday.
We didn't play the next sunday.
But I think it's still a good idea.
Nogame4me mailed me about it last weekend, to realy get this trew.
We could also keep up the score's, frags, flags etc. in a website.
So maybe we could organize this.
Sunday is also a relaxed night cos most peaple don't have anything to do.
Our first idea was to have it arround 20:00 GMT.
What do you think?
(Oo and yeah I typed Zunday in the title like the Z from Zdaemon...:0) |

Well yeah I thougt of that.
But I was more thinking of not letting anyone join.
So you won't have anoying peaple.
And I'm not talking about skill.
So we could just have a passworded server.
and pass it trew the players.
I see the chechs have alot of games with eachother.
But the rest of europe doesn't realy do anything.
And games from country vs country don't seem to work realy.
In this way we can still have alot of cool games. |

They DO work. Just *Dutch on top* is not able to make their team:).
Czechs have their team, so do americans and british afaik. Lets take a stiuation, where dutch ladies stop flaming and make a serious team. I also can imagine French, Finish, Spanish, Croatia and Russia team. Some more? Ok, do it!!!
Is this enought to make some battles? It is. Is it enought to start even a WORLD CUP? Yes it is.
Is it so sound of future? Ok it is, so lets just challenge each other meanwhile. For instance we (czechs) would love to play vs Holland soon.

| Games between countries work fine. As a team GB has played against CZ and France. Both games were relatively easy to set up and damn good fun. Get a dutch team sorted and give us a game |

Let's not start a discussion about if it works or not. It does take a longer time with eventually one match.
So tennie' idea is very cool. Every sunday couple of good games. |

Heh well yeah I guess it´s like that.
I dont think a CTF game with The Netehrlands and another country will ever happen. And I´m Dutch so :s

Well I think it should be open for everyone.
But we need to be able to kick/ban players if they act like asses.
So we will just have fun games.
(By banning I mean banning from Ctf Zunday)
And that is easy.
I was thinking if you want to join CTF Zunday you create an account on a website (I could make that) where you can get the current password.
If you act stupid or cheat you will be not be able to login.
By creating an account you can also vote on maps for the next sunday.
Stuff like that.
I think it should work good.
Maybe some of you peaple have more idea's or better.
Just post it. |

Tennie for captain! all you have to do is choose some players who you think will make a good team. Leave out anyone who whinges or starts getting menstrual about it. Then train a bit. GB will be waiting tennie.... |

The flaming stopped a long time ago. We already proposed our main line-up, being Goat, Tennie, Me, Punaxe and Elmort (with SpacePirate as sub)
It's just that most of us are quite busy lately, and not online much. So we are never all there to practise. So far we had 1 sort of training a few months back. Also we dont really have a captain organizing anything, because most of us are busy...but feel free Tennie
So maybe we'll play once. |

Damn, Tennie's taking this idea to the next level!
Two Sundays ago, I fired up a web-adjustable Oblacek server so the American CTF team could practice, but long after we left the server, others kept it alive. I returned to find Tennie and a few others with whom I hadn't CTFed in ages, and we had some nice games just like in the olden days of CTF. RazTK and Tennie suggested that we meet again, and so this idea was born... except we couldn't determine a time. Well I suppose it's set now: 8PM GMT. Find out what that means for you at

I'm not sure there's a market for a website complete with game statistics, although it might encourage me to dust off my CTF rating system. But what the hell, let's first see if we can scare up some decent games at least. Whaddaya say to some MadCTF?! You know you wanna do it. That sounds like a great idea. That's kinda the same idea we tried to do as BOD. If I'm around at the appropiate time, I definitely pay a visit.
I always thought that should be the main idea of CTF anyway...a friendly and evenly matched game. |
