| This is a bit random...But I wasn't sure where to go with this...Does anyone know how to play Duke3d over the internet like Doom? Is there something to download similar to Zdaemon or something? Any help would be great! |

There are quite many ways actually. Dukester allows you to play a different port of duke, but if you want to play the original, try the follwoing:

It is not free, but oly costs about $20. But Kali has live chatrooms, shows all games running and has a server query program (allows you to see and join into games like Quake, UT2k4, Half Life etc.).

My last ettempt to get this working was ineffective, though, but it was only a short test. I remember the homepage saying that they played Warcraft 2 with it. Should work. |

Yes. These programs are used only to connect the players together. You still need to have the game installed. |

Ok this is the exact stuff you need in order to play Duke3D online.
There are two online ports currently working.
JonoF Port: www.jonof.edgenetwork.org/index.php?p=jfduke3d
RancidMeat Port: www.rancidmeat.com/
Also you will need to get Duke3D Atomic Edition 1.5. Then you can download DukesterX like said in one of the previous posts.
JonoF Port uses Hi-Res Textures and has the best graphix but it doesnt have the 'best' netplay but Jonothon Fowler (creator of JonoF) is always bringing out new versions to make netplay more smoother. I recommend for online play using RancidMeat port.
