Hi guys!

I have recently noticed that there is a strange bug concerning monsters that somehow get near edges. They simply get stuck near the edges and won't move even if you shoot them. I don't know what changes their behaviour but when this happens they are always near some edges and don't face you, though they seem to be awake. If you face them, they won't attack you, only if you shoot them, but not always. Their attacking is just a quick response, they won't face the battle at all (I mean: no more attacks after the response).

My question is: what causes this problem?

There is an invisible block in front of me. It is a monster but it is metres below underwater.

As you can see, he is actually half inside the wall. lol He is marching but remains on the same place.

This is not a bug. It is "intended" mechanics of being able to push monsters over the edges with damage. They get stuck because they are so close to the edge. I think it was introduced in Boom mechanics.

Not a bug, but it resulted in an unintentional behaviour on some LA wads.

On other maps like MAP02 in swamp the imps won't attack you when they see you.

If I turn it off, they are still in a semi-dormant state. They will be active only if you shoot them.

If you shoot them they can shoot back more than once without shooting them again, but their movement is really awkward. As if they were always getting stuck in the edges and trying themselves to move in another direction so they can avoid getting stuck again. lol
