Hello ppl,
In the original games its normal that on Episode start you will have your inventory cleared.
The same happens on "map01"
Most wads are made with that mechanic in mind. Only in a few mods or events it is a unwanted side-effect.
Most recent example is the FCT Shop wad, where players start in a shop (named map00) and you can buy stuff to use in the next map. This works great on all maps except the Exm1 and map01 maps. Players buy weapons and inventory and will see all their freshly bought goodies dissapear in those maps.
Would it be possible to make a server setting, that disables the clearing of inventory on the named maps?
It will prob be used in only a few mods / servers, so maybe a setting that will be default the original behaviour, but can be toggled to avoid inentory clearing.
There is of course a workaround by renaming the maps effected, but its not that friendly if the mod is a wad that can work on any base pwad.
