Salut à tous,
Seems more of a feature request that a bug to me, but here goes :
Make inventory items unlimited when sv_infiniteammo is on.
You might want to also add sv_infiniteammo 2 so you can choose either ammo only, or both. |

Are you sure you want all artifacts to be unlimited? it makes sense with some that can be used as weapons, but not so much sense with others (eg., invisibility). Here is a list of all artifacts: want to specify which ones should be treated as weapons/ammon (ie,. unlimited) and which ones not? 1. Heretic/Hexen Quartz Flask artifact.
2. Heretic/Hexen Mystic Urn artifact.
3. Heretic/Hexen Chaos Device: portable teleport device for the user.
4. Heretic/Hexen Wings of Wrath: allow the player to fly.
5. Heretic/Hexen Torch: similar to Doom's light amplification goggles.
6. Heretic/Hexen Ring of invincibility/Icon of the defender
7. Heretic Shadowsphere: makes the player ghostly.
8. Heretic Tome of Power: supercharges weapons.
9. Heretic Time Bomb of the Ancients
10. Heretic Morph Ovum: transforms opponent to chicken.
11. Hexen Porkalator: transforms opponent to pig.
12. Hexen Disc of Repulsion
13. Hexen Cleric's flechette (poison gas cloud).
14. Hexen Mage's flechette (explosion).
15. Hexen Fighter's flechette (grenade).
16. Hexen Banishment Device: teleports opponents.
17. Hexen Boots of Speed
18. Hexen Krater of Might (more ammo)
19. Hexen Dragonskin Bracers (more armor)
20. Hexen Mystic Ambit Incant: heals players.
21. Hexen Dark Servant: spawns Maulotaur.
22. Puzzle artifacts

How about handling inventory item infiniteness with a separate sv_infiniteinventory instead? I don't think there is any need to differentiate between specific inventory items, and this naming should clearly indicate what purpose it is for. |

Either that or extend sv_infiniteammo to 2 where it would extend to inventory.
As Body-Guard mentions, while I understand that having some of these items unlimited would make the game borderline unplayable, it's up to common sense at this point if the server host wishes for that to happen or not. Flexibility can be achieved by using a server-side patchinfo to remove unwanted chaotic items!
However, on the plus side, Kilgore's point reminds me that :
This DMFlag should be extended to a couple of items aswell (Shadowsphere and Ring of invulnerability). |

1. Added a new dmflag (DF3_INFINITE_ITEMS = 4) and an associated CVAR
(sv_infiniteitems). It blocks the "consumption" of an item when it
is used (so it's effectively infinite once you acquire it).
