With modern monitors it certainly isn't a sin to play Doom games in a window. However the value information in the HUD can take up a lot of space or be so small it isn't readable. So how about we think back to computer games before Doom and have multiple windows used by the game? Sort of like image editing programs today.
That way I can have the centered window have a HUDless display of the game world, with valuable information delegated to side windows. |
