|

Please excuse me if this is a stupid question, I'm rather new to ACS scripting. But is there a way to force a map (in, say, ZD - DOOM in Hexen format) to *NOT* keep track of frags? That is to say, either not display the counter, or simply keep the counter at 0?
Here's what I'm trying to do. I have a Map Selection map on a duel map that I'd like to also double as a SSG warmup map... but any frags made on the selection map, i don't want to count. Preferably, no frag counter displayed and no exit to intermission after a certain frag number is reached.
Any input? |

How I would set such a thing up is:
Have your selection HUB with a 0 fraglimit
Apply a CVarOverride on the said Duel map
Everything is done server-side and you don't have anything to do on the editing side. |

Hmm, alternately, would there be a way to force a CVAR with the fraglimit of 0 for Map00 *only* while the other maps have whatever fraglimit the server specifies? |

Like I said, use CVar overrides. Apply 40 or whatever your fraglimit should be, and on your server settings, use a CVar override for Map00 or whatever the HUB map is, and apply a value of 0. Sorry if my post isn't making sense but I'm dead tired. |

No, I got your drift. Sadly, the server admin won't set fraglimit=0 and sv_infiniteammo=true because the server collects EXP, and there's no way to turn EXP off on a per-map basis. :/ |

In this case, make your own server, so that you won't be a slave to a serveradmin. (and nobody cares about XP)
Simple, and easy |
