WS would be glad of joining. but let's make clear about a couple of things: why should *every* player take a demo of the played? isn't a single demo and a screenshot enough for put on record the game? which servers would be available for running the games, is it going to be definitely a 3on3 plus a backup player?
Anyway, good job trying to run a ctf league there, I'll keep checking up till this becomes official and you've made all of the needed changes.

Well, I'd like to have everyone's pov stocked in the League website, so people can enjoy watching a demo from different pov.

Anyways, I don't think the servers will keep the demos for a long time, they will be removed 2 weeks later I guess.

To answer your second question, yes, 3vs3 will be the league format, unless you guys want to do 4vs4 only, and then do another map selection... I can't just mix 3s and 4s according to the map size, like for Map 11 Tribute. But as I said, I think I'm gonna replace it by another classic and fastpaced map. If you guys have a suggestion, feel free.

One question though, why no overtime in playoff games?

Basically, the overtime was supposed to replace a tiebreaker match in the regular season.

The playoffs will keep the best-of-three system. Then no overtime needed, moreover, it will take too many time. When the playoffs start, we must change the servers setting.


Suggestion :


So if we follow the current game function, a game would eventually end 1-1; flags 4-3. The team with the most flags scored will win.

In case of a pretty tie game, even with overtimes played, there would be a tiebreaker game.


Is this correct, or to be changed?

Edit: I'm looking for 2 admins that would be able to do some changes, they will also have the servers control... Anyway, if I make mistakes, do not hesitate to tell me.

Hi.

Just a quick post to announce that the map-pool will be removed for some reasons. Mostly because most of those maps are from idl and public zdmega-ctf servers. I'll make sure everyone is on the same equal footing at the beginning.

So, a maplist have been made within include 4 from Zdectf, 4 from Veloctf, and 3 from Zductf. The maps will be precised tonight at 18-19H (+1 GMT). 1 map from these wads must be selected. I need a few players for the mapvote, don't forget your neutral attitude... Rendezvous tonight on ZDirc channel ZCL. You're also welcome to share your opinions and help with the rulea.

More informations about the teams, the points system and the gameplay during regular seasons will be confirmed.

ZDECTF 01, 07, 13, 19
ZDUCTF 08, 12, 29, 30... ZDU 29 sucks, there is only 1 respawnpoint.
VELOCTF 03, 04, 08, 31

2 maps from ZDE VELO and ZDU should be voted.

I think it's a shame to not have to play different and perfectly adapted maps, those that had been proposed were subject to favorable maps for the public CTF.

.: Upcoming modifications :.

- Drafts.
- New map-pool.

- Before you sign-up.
- Rescue Trading / Reserve / Free agency.
- Benefits system and points deduction.
- Dismissal / Chronique absence.
- What can I do if :
° my team lack of players ?
° I've been released / kicked ?
° I kick a player from my clan in order to get a strong reserve ?

There's a very simple solution to the glitch problem. Don't use maps that have severe exploits that ruin the gameplay. For example, I've heard that it's possible to skip to the other side of the base on Sewers Smells Bad if wallrunning is enabled. Either don't use that map or disable wall running for it. Punishing players for using a glitch in a map isn't the right way to go imo.
