Something Roland expressed an interest in:
pickuplib01
It's the new pickup items from Ddompack available here as a library for easy inclusion into your own maps, or they could be PATCHINFO'd into anybody elses too.
Contains Silver Armor, Gold Armor, 5% health bonus, 3 rocket pickup, 100 cell pickup, Regensphere & Armorsphere.
Accompanying textfile explains the howto |

I have an observation about your new armor pickups cyber,
Normal Doom green armor gives 100 armor pts, and protects from 33% damage.
Normal Doom blue armor gives 200 armor pts, and protects from 50% damage.
The normal Heretic Silver shield gives 100 armor pts, and protects against 50% damage.
The normal Heretic Enchanted shield gives 200 armor points, and protects against 75% damage.
If you are replacing the doom green armor with silver (heretic's silver shield),
and doom's blue armor with gold (heretic's enchanted shield) your new armor lineup (from worst to best) looks like this:
Silver armor - 50 points, 33% protection
Green armor - 100 points, 50% protection
Gold armor - 300 points, 50% protection
Blue armor - 200 points, 75% protection
The last two seem to be backward to me, the higher amount of armor points leading you to believe the armor is better, when actually the gold armor is worse than blue, since the percentage of damage armor protects from is hard-coded AFAIK. |

Is that my gold armor sprite there cyber?
On another note. I was wondering if you had a messenger or something of that sort? I would like to get on base with some people. |

Can't find the graphics in my sprite directories which means they were most likely pasted over from another WAD (at the time it was just for a personal techdemo thing). Guess I forgot they weren't mine to play with!

Nah, but I'll keep an eye out for ya on irc if I'm on.

Argh! I've been rumbled!
Yeah I was aware that the armors did all have differing degrees of protection - and that there was no way to change this - but hadn't realised there were that skewed. Could give Gold a higher value, but it'd make more sense to swap Gold & Blue back around.
Thanks for taking time to address my errors |

Heck, I don't mind if you use some of my stuff.
You made an entire add-on to my wad after all... |

Added 5 more spheres to the above since my last version. But as not even Roland seems interested then I really can't be assed to post an update.
Instead, here's a mod of someone else's.
King of the Flag is a mod by Zedek which is a hybrid of CTF and KotH. It runs on KotH maps and replaces the control point with a Green Flag. This flag can be carried around just like in CTF and teams have to hold it for a certain amount of time to score a point.
I saw a few ways it could be improved, so I got Zedek's permission and did so. Details of alterations are inside the WAD.
KotF-c
Couple more things I might still upgrade. Would be nice to be able to play it 3way... |

I am very interested! As a matter a fact, the items you posted up until now, are the ones I'm already using in a project of mine, which is nearing completion, until now... Because you created 5 more items? What are they? Please please, let me know. They might be perfect for the project. |

Ok, good to know. But even you can understand how - after almost a month of zero response - it might be construed that nobody was remotely interested?
The other items are:
Weaponsphere - gives all weapons.
Rescuesphere - heals player and teleports them back to spawn if health drops to 20% or below.
Immunesphere - like Invulnerability but last for 15secs, has no "whitescreen" effect and also turns the player a colour which makes it obvious they have it.
Shrinksphere - a Doom rip of the Heretic chicken effect. Player loses health and weapons but becomes faster and smaller.
Thrustsphere - closest we can get to a "speed-up" atm. It thrusts the player in the direction they are facing for a limited time.
There's a few others I had in-dev too. |

Omg, I don't know how I didn't see this before, we are searching for items to be added in TNS so I will discuss this evening with the rest of moderators which ones of these could be useful |

Regensphere and Armorsphere could be a good catch to have in TNS. Weapon-rescue-thrusts spheres are also interesting, think you could upload them Cybershark? (Also I wonder what are those others "in-dev") |

@Cybershark
These items are awesome and work nicely. I've already implemented the following in my project:
- Armorsphere
- Regensphere
- Large Health Bonus
- Silver Armor
- Gold Armor
The items I am also interested in are:
- Weaponsphere
- Rescuesphere
- Immunesphere
- Shrinksphere
- Thrustsphere
And, just like Alteus, I am also interested in the items you still have in development. Could you give us a little more information about those please? And also upload the ones you already finished? Thank you in advance. |

Once I have finished Heretic mapping I shall look at giving these powerups a proper setting. |

Yes, but we need Cybershark to post the items. Is anyone in touch with Cybershark nowadays and able to ask him about these items? It seems he's not around reading the forums much nowadays. |
