Would it be possible to use team-chat to talk to other spectators during tourney games for example without disturbing the competitors?
This would be great. |

there is a server option called 'specs_dont_disturb_players'.
when enabled the players wont see the spectators chat. |

Phenex : lemme give u a scenario
two people are playing in a tourney, and they have no idea how to proceed from the starting-map
I can't give them help from in-game, because spec-chat is blocked completely, so they have to alt-tab out and msg me in IRC and it takes way longer than it should.

But with spectator-team-chat, I can just press T and talk to the players,
and when the match begins I can press Y and talk to the spectators.
everyone saves time and is happy!

the problem is spectators are not considered to be on a 'team' currently. maybe we can change that and make teamchat in ffa/1on1 work like you describe. |

Thats what I was going to type but I thought it sounded silly.
My idea was to make spectators into a 5th team, so it could work. |
