YO ZDS people!
Let's play a freaky session next Saturday (2012-04-21) on ZDS. We play 5 Team Deathmatch.
So OMGort what's that, I thought ZDaemon has 4 teams only?
One day I found out that many maps of dwango5 have monsters.
So let's play with 4 teams for humans and the 5th team are the monsters. They should also have a chance to respawn. That's why we use Nightmare!
... and how could we ever play dwango5 without HeXen's Mage as a skin...

Cool idea, and I like how you left map01 out, but map02 seems too crazy to work. Tiny map with a cyber? Not so good, I think.

After thinking about Roland using monster skins in co-op, I remembered his Invasion demo stuff - where he reskinned a bunch of monsters into marines. That was a terrible idea there, but it would be awesome for this. You could keep the attacks, hit points, and other attributes of each kind of monster, but just DEHACK all their sizes down to that of a marine, while using a translated base to make a "Yellow team" - or they could each have their own sprite set - pistol marine, shotgun marine, etc, etc.

It would not be a lot of work to make at all, and it would really feel like 5 teams then Wink

YO Shark good idea Idea. I made a patch that makes all monsters the same size as a player: 1size_monsters.
I think I have not enough time and mood to make a "Yellow team", but maybe someone else has.

Fucking dire in the US. Played a bit of 1on1 there, and that was as good as it got Crying or Very sad

It's not usually such a problem for ZDS, but I wish we could get some more people to commit to starting some of these event nights off!

I think there are way too many events.. you should merge all of them back into a single one (ZDS). The current amount of active players asks for it.

That's rubbish, Ducky.

I mean... I would have agreed in the past, but that was when the new events were starting up - and I was feeling obliged to stop by them all.

US ZDS still fits perfectly with my schedule, Co-op and Survival still usually annoy me more than I enjoy them (so I don't often play there), and FYBO I play when I'm around for it.

But the way you make it sound? Well, you said that... what? Because there aren't so many active players, that the players we do have should all save themselves up for one night? Ridiculous. People can't all suddenly, magically all be around on the same day, at the same time! Different days and times just fit different folks.

All I will continue to say is that I wish the people who are around would stop acting like such a bunch of cunts, pretend they're part of an actual community instead, and come support these events which people take time to put on for them - which they may even enjoy (if they would read the Bot messages or news items, and were able to pull their marines out of the regular servers and their heads out of their asses).
