YO folks,
it is time for another Railgun-only session!
And what the Imp? dbzone?!? YES! 6 of the maps seem fine to be played as instagib session. So you don't need to care about weapons, ammo, armor, health, ... just spawn and shoot. We play every map 10 minutes so 1 round takes 1 hour, that should be enough Smile

.
Of course with the zooming function for long distance shoots.

I didn't think I'd enjoy this session very much. I don't freelook, so my instagib action is limited. I prefer my deathmatches to be over in under 8mins, and I really did not have high hopes for playing DM on a co-op pack.

But the maps proved to be pretty flat and very enjoyable. I particularly liked the train one, but they were almost all good. Map01 was the only one in the rotation that felt too big - like somebody had taken an IWAD map and scattered DM starts all over it.

Some later games did suck, when dicks like [SUR]Quake came in and were spawncamping. Oh, the irony of using the high-precision railgun to do it...

Still, I played way more than I thought I would, and I think this config well deserves a permanent server Very Happy

This wad was originally designed for trolling, No doubt. But this time the gameplay made the wad somewhat fine.

I get what you're saying FLunky, but the busiest servers are not always the best ones. If I have a duel server that only holds two people, that server is full with just those two people.

Look at something like the SoD (Speed of Doom) Survival server. That gets full, but full there is 5/5. That doesn't mean that it's inferior to 16/16 in coopbuild.

Or think of Greenwar FYBO last night. Sure, it was damn busy, but half of the matches were telefragoramas. Biggest is not always best Wink

because if i hate survival or ctf so i just have to wait for the FMM or zds session Very Happy

Just because a server is top of the master list does not mean it's the best WAD out there. In most cases people tend to join servers that already have people inside of it, rather than joining a new server by yourself. ZDCTF, DBzone, etc are perfect examples of this. If people thought for themselves for once, rather than acting like sheep and following people, they would find that there are many better wads out there just by a little search.

Anyway recently when I've logged on servers at the top the master are filled with bots, that's when it gets annoying. That's why I've been on Ronalds retarded robot's case in the past week :s

On topic though this ZDS sounded alright reading people's reviews. I'd agree with Cshark that it would be nice to host it on a permanent server for those of us who missed it.
