hexen support is planned.
priority is low though.

There must be a high priority for hexen support though,because there are hexen fans among Zdaemon players,in addition,playing hexen online could be a lot of fun Smile

heretic is implemented and works very well ... yet it is sadly not played a lot. i dont think it would be any different with hexen.
implementing hexen properly isnt trivial either. think of the hubs and items players collect and so on. getting that to work smoothly won't be easy.
the priority is low because the workload clearly outweighs the overall benefits.

It'll be cool when Hexen will be finally supported. Contrarily to your opinion, I think that Hexen will get more players than Heretic, since (no offense Heretic fans) Heretic was merely a rip off of Doom with some additional features, whereas Hexen is much more complicated and has a different and more interesting gameplay.
