Realism? Heh, this is Doom. Hmm, well #2 for me probably. I really don't like blasting my own teammates more than I have to. Having them on the radar is a nice bonus because not all servers have the target name flag enabled.

EDIT: I am slightly confused at the options, but my vote is cast for keeping the current behavior, in any case. #2 sounds closest to that, assuming that the dmflags have been configured to allow target names to be displayed to begin with.

I'd go for 1, it would make invisibility actually useful.

(2 allows identifying enemy players by wether or not you can see their names.. spotting the fuzzy effect is not that hard..)

Well, in a "realistic" Fantasy setting (yeah ...), you wouldnīt look for dudes with exclamation marks floating above their heads, either, when going on sum quest Razz. Itīs just game mechanics anyways.

They will do BOTH (show target names and be automap visible) only if they are on your team, or show target names (to everyone) and be additionally automap visible if on your team ?

Target names of the enemies should NEVER show up! That makes it too easy to spot someone. Come on now. Rolling Eyes
