It appears that if you have over 200% of armor and or health, it isn't shown on the cooperative/survival scoreboard. The scoreboard max seems to be 200/200. I'm not sure whether this is a bug or just intended programmed behaviour though. |

I wouldn't call this a bug: it's a limitation of the original and it is really a feature request the same way mappers wanted to remove other limitations of the engine. I'm afraid however you'll break classic HUDs if you let it be truly unbounded (eg., there is no way the classic HUDs can show health/armor over 999). That's the same reason there are bounds on the frag counnt as well. I guess we could safely bring it up to 999, but no more. |

This is good news!
Some DeHackEd patches make use of extending the normal health and armor values, and as long as it is reasonable, I think the scoreboard should reflect this. For example, in some maps (like rocket jumping), armor bonuses are used as "points". Currently, in order for everyone to tell how many points you have, they have to look at the armor values on the scoreboard, which were restricted to 200. And if some pickups give more armor bonuses than others, the 200 limit isn't nearly enough as you think it would be.
This is a good improvement, and I would personally like to thank you for raising this limitation. :) |
