Is an FFA map big enough if it fits 6 comfortably? Or should it be large enough to fit 8? I'm leaning towards 8 but I'd like some feedback. Thanks. Smile

Oh yeah, that's a given. I tend to go with twice as many starts as possible players. That way it's harder to know where someone is gonna respawn, and you avoid spawn frags and other junk.

I'd say at least 4, but 6 or 8 will also work. Take a look at edm.wad . Its maps are suitable for 6+ players.

I can upload it somewhere if you want.

The answer to your question, Rellik, depends on the size of the map and the player limit set in a server. Usually, 6-8 would do just fine with standard configurations(8 players, I assume) on most of the Zdaemon servers.

It's all about taste. I think 5 or more players in britt11 is too much. Same applies for most wads, and still 8 players is the limit. Others seem to be fine with 8 players, but I just cant play there.
