Because the poll we did for ZDS #98 was so damn close, I decided in light of the results that we should also play the runner-up sometime soon afterwards. So yah, you wanted it, you got it - 4 way CTF!

And as is often the case for ZDS then we have a fresh, updated version for all you good people. TheUltimateDoomer apparently went back to the pack some time ago and cut a bunch of the deadweight maps out ...but then totally forgot to give it to anyone Laughing
Anyways, he's been back and checked over things a couple more times and the pack is now down from its original 30 varying quality maps to the 20 most playable.

    Game Mode: CTF
    WADs: zd_4way6_
    Zvox2007
    Tskins1a

    Maps: 20 (01-20)
    DMFLAGS: 279620/131072
Players: 16 (4 players max per team, autobalancing)
    Teams: 4
    Timelimit: 9 mins
    Flags: 5

    Date: Saturday 8th August 2009
Time: 7:30pm UK Time / 9:00 pm EST
    Locations: L@P/XXX / Unfy/NODE-3/3-BET/WindyCity

Cya on the field! Very Happy

We like to be honest and upfront about what people will find in the servers.

But that is really no way to talk about your own clanmate! Laughing

Can't you see they symbol a war between the most precious things in life? That the flag we see on the screen is in fact a shoe, or a turd in our heart? It's art really. Art in its purest. Honestly.
HELLO. Why nobody play? FUCK MY BALL!

Whoa, hey! Looking forward to some wild 4-way. I got a chance to play this about a week ago with a full server. I'm curious to see what the condensed pack looks like.

Yeah idk, Geit had been promising me he'd make me a banner image for some time, and despite not really needing one this week I reminded him and he came up with that one. No offense to any Frenchos is intended!

So yeah, Jesus, a good sleep later and my head is still ringing with Vox announcements! Intense doesn't even begin to describe some of the games we had in the US session!

Codex Argentus and Rocky Debate were a couple of particularly superb games. Was really glad to see the back of maps like 4-Dimensional Violence and L-Plate. While it was really good fun last night it was pretty heavy going too and many of these maps would be ideal with just 2/3 per team.

Now THAT was how 4-way should be Razz

Epic games on many maps, even the less established maps getting to host full-server games and show what they're capable of. All we need now is an established host for the new version and we can get something going more often like with the 3-way packs Very Happy

Wild stuff. All of those flags being taken and dropped... There are plenty of target options when you are playing. There is a lot less hunting down flag carriers since the game remains dynamic as there are more flags to be fought and won.

I really wish there were fewer spamming options on that virtual Tron map, though. As an aside, were there any BFGs on those maps that we played?

Nah, the Tron map has always had that setup, from the uctf original to the remakes - without the plasma in it's current position it'd be just another ssg whoring map. (let's hope the newest 3-way version doesn't go that way with the plasma now on a lift in the same position)

Lol I doubt it, those columns don't keep the plasma out of play much, and there's still rockets on the map too! Laughing

Ha yeah they were noticeably absent weren't they? I think there was one map that had one (y'know, that was for public consumption and not swiss-cheesed away someplace).
