ok, there's been a small change in the points system, because counting points from intermediate tourneys was incredibly silly. 5 points for the victor, 4 points for the runner up, 3 points for semis.. UGH! so, without completely fucking up what is running for 9 months, some 'patch' had to be applied.
->the int tourneys get normal points.
->the open tourneys are treated like if (open+int) players participated.
the points from fuloser change almost nothing, but this seriously affected the dwango tourney, as it was a grandslam with (16+16) players. especially the 100pts for the win seems rather incredible. still, if we ran it as one big 32pl tourney, that's what the winner would get anyways. the ones that got screwed are people losing in round1 of the open. sorry, but i'm out of ideas how to make this work 'sensibly'. awarding 10pts to gyross for fuloser victory was... also weird.
anyways, constructive comments are welcome. the point system is flawed and we know it. this was just a hotfix. there's big changes coming, but we have to stick with what we have now. |

| 100 points for an grandslam aren t too much? when you see normal tournament you will have 20 points most of times.. 5* more then a simply tourney ? though each grandslam should be maximum 50point at all. |

mort i understand your concern about the upper limit, it's an awful lot. on the other hand... there was 32 players in total and it was possibly the most played dm map... :) on the other hand, i'm having serious trouble with numbers on the lower limit, where the values stopped making sense. and you never experienced that end of rewarding, so you hardly worry about it... :) the system must make sense from both sides, and that's problematic... |
