Checking back then we first ran this on ZDS almost exactly a year ago today. So what, does it really deserve to be run twice? Heh, well after all the work that the creators have put into it then yes, it most definitely does!

The number of maps has doubled in this release - taking it from 10 up to 20. But there's waaaay more than just 10 new maps in here as a couple of the older ones have been scrapped and others have been seriously sharpened up.

    Game Mode: CTF
    WADs: zdectfmp2
    tskins1a
    zvox4 Make this mandatory plz!
    Maps: Maps: 20 (01-20)
    DMFLAGS: 21508/131073
    Players: 12 (6on6 + 4 spectator slots)
Other stuff: 5 flags, 15mins on the clock, NM skill, 2 teams, 0% Team Damage, Map and kick voting where possible

Date: Saturday 6th December 2008
Time: 7:30pm UK Time / 9:00 pm EST
Locations: HorizoN / [TotalTrash]/Dwango United - NJ[/list]

And don't even start about the railgun again Prawnald. Yes the WAD has some - but not on every spawn on every map. Don't like them? Then do what you'd do if it was any other gun and stop the other team getting it! Razz

But there's a Railgun in it man!

Oh...

Oh..........

Sorry, I didn't know I wasn't allowed to bring it up. But yeah, I've checked these maps and they look amazing. Excellent job on that! If I got to pick a favourite map, it would be MAP02 definitely. However, most of the maps seem rather big. Not sure how well that will work, but I guess we'll find out soon enough. Razz

I'm not sure if I'll be able to make it this weekend, but please, if you attend to the session, please post how the games went. Smile

Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

I don't know the exact problem, but when I try to join a server with epic ctf I get a message "Script error, MAPINFO: line 8, bad syntax"

Do I have an old/wrong version of the wad, is it a server problem, what?

Seems like you have a old zdaemon client, you should update to 1.08.07 (this bug was fixed on 1.08.06)

Kinda a let-down for Euro players as they were stuck with a choice between my craptastic server and a passworded one on HorizoN. Still it looked like it was getting a few players in.

The US was bitching. I was feeling pretty rough last night but I was glad I stuck it out. It did look like the sesh was gonna tail off at one point but it was rebooted by the late arrivals of a couple of the authors Smile

I should go post some proper comments in the editing thread now I guess!

Not really! It was the one and only Kilgore himself that provided us with a good [L@P] server! Due to the fact this all had to be arranged around 21:00*, the European Session was a bit delayed, but got off the ground around 22:00*. I tried to bring it to the attention of the people on the private server, but they were too busy having fun there. Razz

So me and Worst joined the server and the session started taking off slowly. Worst had to leave after the first game, and then it soon died out. Only me and let were left. Then, Kilgore came in checking what was going on and decided to play a few rounds with us. We played a few rounds 2 vs 2. After that some people joined and we left. I think it lasted about 30 minutes - 45 minutes after that and then died a peaceful death once again. So in total, the European session lasted about 2 hours.

Epic? See this, this and this.

That was a pretty entertaining night. The wad has some great material (layouts and detail are for the most part excellent). Definitely a solid wad!

That is awesome to hear. Sounds like it might just be a recurring thing too. Thanks for the save Kil! Very Happy
