Which was the first PWAD you played?
I first played Scythe MegaWAD about 4 years ago, and since then I do a complete UV run every month It still the best.
Edited for Adereth perfect grammar and comprehension of future readers.

Ever? Oh, good god. I remember some weird stuff coming off of idgames a good ten or eleven years. The one that always stuck in my mind was probably a doom1 patch (since the demo can't load PWADs, it was a patch to the IWAD itself) that added just enough obscure crap to the original maps to confuse you, like a second exit (branching from the passages to the original) on E1M2.
...actually, before that, there was Barney Doom, and it was good. There's this fantastic CD called Game Empire (which had a few Windows-centric sequels) that was nice enough to contain the Doom demo, Barney Doom, Simpsons Doom, some other things, the Wolf 3-D demo, the Duke 3D demo... (all demos, alas.) Lots of fun memories there.
Here, though, the first things I ever subjected myself to were ZDCTFMP2 (Twice as Simple) and dwango5 (map01), in that order. |

I suppose I should say technically the tnt31 patch to put the yellow key in map31 of the tnt iwad, but if you don't include that it would be eternal.wad (still one of my favorites). |

YES!!! Nothing more satisfying than shooting Barney in the head with a shotgun... because if you didn't, he would kill you. Mind you I was about 7 at the time and hated Barney with a passion, so this was a pretty good play. The other sprite replacements in that wad were good too, esp. the smiley face HUD. |

Anyway, I think DOOM95 isn't the IWAD, its just an improved version of the original .exe
Correct me if I'm wrong. |
