The brackets are set! http://www.zdaemon.org/tourney/viewtourney.asp?tourney_no=61 myself and members of the teams discussed setting the brackets early to give teams time to discuss tactics. First round starts on the 14th still, but it also gives extra time for teams to arrange their matches  |

Just to add, CodeImp and Intervep have also got the tourney map set running on public servers, so there are plenty of places for teams to practise now Thanks for the support guys

but ridiculous will be this:
TEAM "A" won 3 matches against team "B", 5:4, 5:3, 5:4 and last match they will lose (team A) 0:5 in a bad map for them
so who will be the winner ?  |

That depends on the other team, I wouldn't quit, not after having been in that situation before lol.
Scoring, yeah that would be rough. We'll do it by flags this time. If the rules and structure of this tourney work, and we do another one, we could maybe have a poll on how the scoring goes in future, let you guys decide as more are played the system will be refined, all ideas and suggestions welcome
Another thing which Kilgore showed me, is he has this great wad, map preview site that he and a couple of others made. I would definately want to link to that for another map poll, no one would have been in any doubt which map was which with that, so that's something else for the next one (if he'll add the ctf map packs ).
Titan also mentioned that it may be a good idea to have the winners of the euro 3 v 3 ctf tourney face the winners of the next US 3 v 3 ctf tourney which sounds like it would be fun..... just an idea for the future
I'm not sure about all 8 teams facing each other, i'm not sure how the system would work. A losers bracket might be good though, what do you think? We could try one for this tourney if you want, and if Raider agrees. |

Team A would win 16-15
But if scores are tied after the all matches, maybe we could have a "sudden death" decider, in which we play an extra map, the team to score the first frag wins tie.
Just a thought...

This tournament has officially started. Please contact your opposing team asap to arrange a match, and post here too, as with all tournaments, I need to see who is attempting to contact who. If there are any problems I will do my best to chase teams up.
