Hello there. After some years i want to play again but when i play and set uncaped fps and v-sync off i have every 2 seconds lag. How can i fix it? I tried everything and nothing helps. I tried some setting on my graphic card and nothing helps. Also tried some resolutions and nothing. My card is radeon RX-560. When i download classic ZDooM runs normal.

First question: do you have SSAA disabled?

If not, try that first.

Next, go to "Change Blitmode"; although it mentions NVIDIA graphics explcitly in regards to Low FPS, try and adjust it to see whether it makes any difference. (If a "Fatal Error" termination occurs the setting will revert on the next launch)

Are you using Windowed, Borderless or Native fullscreen mode?

Have you also ensured that your graphics card drivers are up-to-date? Have you tried to adjust any settings on the driver-side (if an interface is provided) to see whether that makes any difference?

"Classic ZDoom" can span a very long period of time, you'd have to be more specific regarding the version.

Have you checked to see whether there are any known general performance issues when it comes to the Radeon RX560?

In game console "vid_fps 1" (or 2 to 4) shows the frames per second for diagnostics.
v-sync off gives you maximum fps, but it can cause screen tearing.
Switching it on limits the fps to your monitors limit (e.g. 60 Hz).

Aside from vsync or using the original capped mode, there isn't a way to enforce a specific limit in-program.

Regarding your mouse, what do you have its response rate and DPI set to?

Originally there were problems with mice that had high response rates, but that was accounted for from 1.10.23 onwards.

However there have also been reports concerning DPI, that if it is set too high (10,000 reported thus far.. could be a bit less than that) it also results in anomalous behaviour. Due to that you may want to try a much lower DPI just in case.
