Eh, bit of a frivolous one perhaps...
Doom (& Doom2) contain a decorative sprite (SMT2A0) which is unused and unusable (as it has no thing number, so cannot be placed into maps). In the absence of DECORATE then any extra things that can be added to Doom remain beneficial here.
A couple of other ports have added it, following a standard of thing no. 5050
Check out this Doomsday request for a few more details. As the guy who posted that notes, this would also improve cross-port compatibility. |
