Is there any way that zdaemon could be made to support .pk3 files like zdoom? There are a bunch of good mods for doom 2 that were not made as .wad, but as .pk3. This would be a great addition.

Hello!

The PK3 is just a different structure of files packed inside a zip.
I Don't know if ZD has this on to-do list but if so its somewhere on the bottom.

Instead ZD packs WAD files directly into .zip mostly.

Also there is sometimes a good reason of it. Most of people making PK3 mods didnt had zdaemon support in mind. So even if you opened it ... you would find out that most of the stuff possibly didnt worked, not like it could not like some people might think so ... But because things are made in different way.

So yea you could convert the whole pk3 file in WAD that would run in zdaemon. If you really miss some drop me a PM or write a topic on WAD Editing.
