I haven't used it in a while, but does it work anymore? Mine appears not to. If it can work, how? Thanks |

On 1.10beta servers, demo recording is disabled as a result of the protocol not being finalised.
Demo recording is possible on 1.09.xx servers though. |

I understand that you don't want people to produce demos that might not play back correctly in the future... But come on, disabling it completely? That kind of sucks, especially if we'll have to wait for years for it to get finalized. Can't there be a nicer solution? Like, make ZDaemon use a different filename extension (*.zddtest or something) for the demos recorded under this unfinished protocol. That way there shouldn't be any confusion.
Or are there some other reasons for this? |

I provided a solution that seemed fine but didn't get accepted; Store the binary file and read demos later on. This didn't work, even though it's (I assume) little work to just enable demo-recording again; and doesn't need anything else done by the staff. |
