Here is a pretty weird situation that was discovered during the yesterday's TNS session on map07 of Doom 2 In Name Only.
Since that map is rather complex, here is a simple test map I created for your convenience: crushing-floor-zd.
Try pressing the switch in vanilla Doom and then in ZDaemon. You'll notice that in vanilla the crushed barrels explode, then the blast destroys the other barrels and kills the demon. In ZDaemon you hear the barrels exploding but they kind of just disappear: there is no explosion blast, so the demon survives.
So there must be some difference from vanilla behavior that needs to be fixed. I want to note that it wasn't easy to recreate the situation from that map. I had to move the barrels around and play with the sector heights a bit before I was able to get the same effect. So this seems to be a very marginal case and it might be difficult to trace the source of the problem.
edit: Alteus noticed that there is no problem when infinitely tall actors are ON. So maybe it isn't a bug after all, I'm not sure now. |

Seems to be fixed in ZDaemon 1.10 Beta02, couldn't reproduce in compare to 1.09. Perhaps it was barrel non-vannila heigh ? |
