I recently got in contact with an old friend of mine here on ZDaemon who I had not talked to in a good while

While chatting about why he had been inactive and not played ZDaemon in so long he mentioned it had to do since the new 1.10 update due to him not being able to run it after that update.

This is his following error message:

From what I understood it seems to be some sort of Direct3d Error Question
We tried to fix this. He's got his video drivers updated and also DirectX is up to date.
It only happens with 1.10 servers and he can still join the few 1.09 servers that are up.

Also, he is able to run zandronum and odamex with no problem, it only happens with zdaemon 1.10

Any of you guys know what could be causing this? or at least lead us into the right direction?

Thank you!

This is not a "only happens sometimes case" though.
It happens all the time when he tries to join a 1.10 server Sad

Then he may have a problem with his zdaemon.exe, tell him to reinstall zdaemon, and use zlauncher instead of IDE.

It's a renderer problem, as it's been changed from DirectDraw to D3D.

It happened sometimes with me, but retrying to launch it again will make it work...

Reinstalling has been attempted and the problem persists.

Sadly, it happens EVERY time he tries to launch 1.10 servers..
