|
|
Hello everyone, I've joined the ZDaemon community just recently (we might have already met around the EU servers).
At first I was constantly getting owned by everyone, but in a while I got better used to the fast pace of the game and started to really enjoy it.
So I decided to go through the demos, picking my best frags (don't know if these are all that good compared to more experienced players - but hey! I'm a newbie) and create a fragmovie.
Sadly enough, I've finished cutting just prior to the release of the new patch, which would have made achieving the "wide-screen" effect much easier...
No more talking, you check it and you be the judge (I'll appreciate any constructive feedback).

Enjoy! |

You uploaded it to Youtube on the 24th of December 2013 and you decide to post it now? What held you back for all that time?
I liked the video. I really did. It didn't feel like: "hey guys, look, I'm showing my e-d!ck here. Come on over here and suck it." No, not at all. Instead it felt like: "hey look guys, I'm enjoying the game and I'm pretty good at fragging them bastards from time to time." Believe it or not, but thát is what made the video enjoyable to me.
The video is nice, but it's good that it doesn't last longer than 6:41. The video does get repetitive at one point, especially because all you're fighting is pink marines. I also liked the music you used. Not just (heavy) metal, but some pop too.
That said, welcome to the community and stick around. Enjoy! |

Thank you, Ronald! Well, my forum account wasn't active until today, so that's the case. I'm pleased you liked the movie. Actually... that thing with pink marines came to my mind as I've already had all the demos prerendered into video files... and... ok, I was too lazy to remake it I'll make sure to deal with that next time, though! |

Welcome back, amigo!
Your name and the level of your English may change, but the style of your video and choice of music will remain the same decidedly |

? :O I don't understand what you guys are about. If you think this is a "fake" profile of someone else, it isn't I've only been playing counter-strike (you make sure to check the cs 1.6 videos on my youtube channel too ) and quake for years before, but I'm brand new to the ZDaemon community.
So I guess that any similarities of my english (or play-style or whatever) to someone else's in here are purely accidental.
I'm a medical student from Czech rep., 21 years, smart(ass) like hell, yet still happy to shoot a few marines or whatever else lurks around |

I might be wrong, but your video editing style, background music choice and country point to sks23's direction. Moreover your skill level seems way too advanced for someone that started playing 1-2 months ago, sounds like you're pulling an attempt to rebuild a reputation from scratch with the help of another czech guy I'm not going to mention, posting on forums in your place(similar typing style)
I apologize if you aren't the guy I'm thinking about, but all of this smells quite like bullshit to me. |

No man, seriously, I don't know anyone as "sks23" and don't know anything about his/her reputation. By the way, if the nick is "sks", then it rather evokes Slovak republic rather then Czech, so the person could be Slovak - either living in CR or SR (nearly half of my schoolmates are Slovak).
The thing about skill level may actually flatter me, but I believe it comes from experience from other FPS games (like cs 1.6 since 2003 and other shooters later on).
I can't judge my typing style... Oh come on, the whole situation is kinda weird... Besides studying I actually work as a part-time translator for a low-budget publisher Axis. But why am I even telling all this? You may still think I'm making it all up
Nevertheless, it still is unpleasant being considered to be someone else, moreover someone with bad reputation. |

Well, I've looked up sks23 on youtube - first relevant link "The Expendables - Sks23 and Dedek" - I admit that the editing is similar at some points, like he uses similar blur and highlight effects - but there it ends and again, those similarities are just accidental, since I haven't even seen that movie before |

I'm surprised -well it depends- that came from a person that has a big passion with the RL. |

I was waiting for a fist/chainsaw kill but otherwise it was nice this video was not 95% SSG porn like most frag videos. The plasma kills could have used a little more diversity but I was glad to see them at all. :p |

You don't only do that with the rockets, I mean there is more to RL stuffs (such as RJing with flag) than a simple RL spam.
I also like that weapon but it is also a weapon that I hate alot when it is in the hands of my opponents, because most of them use it mostly for spamming in all directions. |
