More of a design oversight than a bug; nevertheless, it still renders the following new cvars useless in C/S as they won't ever be substituted with actual values on the client.
Code: | 39. Added the following read-only CVARs on the client: get_x, get_y,
get_z to get the x, y, z position (fixed-point) of the display-
player; get_pitch, get_yaw, to get the pitch and angle (truncated)
of the displayplayer; get_consoleplayer, get_displayplayer to get
the consoleplayer and displayplayer indices respectively. |
Here's an example where script 1 could, for example, be used by the server admin for setting an improvised teleport source/destination coordinates from his current view (even as a spec or when spectating someone else).
Code: | rcon puke 1 $get_x $get_y $get_z |
This functionality, along with noclip spec (serious yay for that), would make getting around bugs in maps in coop/survival sessions incredibly easy. It would also make all our other work, like spawning additional suits/ammo, adding some surprise monsters, teleporting stuck players, much much easier. |
