This should allow the folks living in the eastern parts of the continents (and on islands of all kinds) to play at more reasonable hours. Hopefully, all the westerners will be able to come a bit earlier. After all, it's TNS, make a priority 1 update to your calendar!

The new times are:

Aus session: 19:00 AEST (that's 09:00 GMT)
Euro session: 19:00 GMT (that's 14:00 EST)
US session: 19:00 EST (that's 00:00 GMT)

It would have made more sense - rather than randomly shifting these things around - to give all the event nights a single, uniform start time.

We didn't randomly shift things around. We decided that it would be better for everybody if we put the times back one hour. Players in a different timezone had to stay up very late to join us. Some players wanted an Aussie session because they are asleep/working when the euro and usa sessions are on. So, we provided them one. Sadly, that's not active, but at least it's there.

It's not best to have one session because let's say we go with the euro session (most popular), we'll play pain rotations on it, which can make it very difficult for newcomers to get into the game at this stage. Sometimes, we're done with the "normal" rotation in just one hour.

You misunderstand. I didn't mean there should only be one global session, rather that there should be a single start time that all Euro events adhere to, and likewise (for what it's worth) for the US events.

Say that one thing starts at 7pm, and another night starts at 9pm, then there's something else that runs from 8:30, and then somebody decides to move one forward by an hour, and another back by an hour...

What I'm saying is that it'd be far more logical to consolidate one single Euro start time for everything (and another each for US/Aussie/South America), rather than causing all this needless confusion.

Cybershark has a point I think. We should consider his suggestion. I am willing to adapt, although I think 19:00 GMT is rather early. But like I said, I am willing to adapt.

Whoops, indeed I misread. Yeah, OK. It does make sense. Swing by #zdevents and we'll come up with a time there.
