I put a yes, but it really depends on the number of laps and the course layout. The Nurenburg ring is a lot of fun in forza and gran turismo, but it would be kind of boring to play a 2:30 oval course.

Also, the problem that you run into with video game races is that it's basically decided in the first couple of minutes who's the winner. When you get out ahead in Nurenburg for example, you've already won, barring a huge mistake or crash. The course would have to be designed to keep it competitive throughout the race.

I was typing (or talking on ts, I don't remember which) an idea for this a couple of days ago which relates to longer lap times. Longer maps that try to copy F1 Grand Prix style tracks. If you need to make such tracks worth playing then I also suggest trying to go down the Crash Team Racing route, with bonus items. Madness, I know. Wink

No. The rage quit factor would go through the roof unless a checkpoint system is implemented. If I got killed 300m before the finish and had to start the track all over again, I would rage. Dont know if anyone else would.

Recreate Monza, Nurburgring or Philip Island and this man would be very happy.

well, as of version 3, there is a checkpoint system. We're on version 4 right now.

Wasn't necessarily referring to Op-Cow's project.
