Hey Guys, Girls and Gorts!

Its time to place some Bier next to your computers & open DoomBuilder...
because we want YOU to compete in our eXXXtreme X-rated 32in24 Mapping Session!

That means that we want to rush 32 xnoobish FFA maps in 24hours, and evereybody
who wants to compete can sign up in this thread here.

We will post a "topic" and a xxx32in24_ressources.wad with custom textures etc.
in this thread here on Saturday shortly before the session begins.

Everybody who is taking part may use original DooM2 textures or our textures from the xxx32in24_ressources.wad but no selfmade stuff.

-You may NOT work with DEHACKED
-You may make as many maps as you want Smile
-You may include a MAPINFO in your map.
-You may choose custom music for your map too, but the music has to be in MIDI format and you must not merge it into your map.
just send it together with your map, and name the midi after the map (e.g.: coolmap.wad; coolmap.mid).

The Session will go on from:
Zaturday, August 27th, 18:00 GMT
until:
Sunday, August 28th, 18:00 GMT

You can stay in touch with us on #xxx channel in ZIRC and/or send your works to x.x.x@hush.ai

UPDATE:

Topic is: Science Fiction

& here you can get the ressources.wad (compiled by [GL]Luca95):

Unfortunately I'm rather tied up these days. I'll consider it!

And a wild half-orc appearance, to boot?

Love this idea! I've noticed the interest in mapping has increased quite a bit for the first time in many years, I look forward to seeing how this turns out. After this, you guys should start cranking out some CTF wads too!

1st of all iŽd like to thank all of you guys for the great maps youŽve made for that session!
We didnt manage to get 32 maps within the 24 hours but we got ~15 great DM maps in SciFi style Cool
To be honest: Thats quite more than i expected Wink

We will merge them together these days. What about playing the WAD together next Zaturday?

Why not for FYBO?

Also, it seemed like a silly idea to have this contest overrun both US and Euro ZDSes. People can only do one thing at once Confused

I like maps 01 and 02
map03 is a funny tribute, but the map was way too small scale to have the weapons so far from spawns. And what was up with the hom on the TLITEs on the floor?
map04 is ok, but the unblocking windows annoyed me. Having Cacos guard the BFG was cool though. Some of the worst music in the WAD!
map05 is very flat, but it's got a nice layout and seems very well suited.
map06 - ARGH! Which scumbag made this?! I guess it's a little bigger than the original at least, and the classcial music made me lol.
map07 - feels like an early Mano map. And it's horrible. There's a couple of areas where you can sit and dominate a bit, but none of the areas with steps in are suitable for running around at Doomspeed. Jumppads are awkwardly placed too.
map08 - not much to say. This could be a Dwango5 or a UDM2 map, but an arena like this always breaks up the other maps in the pack. The switches don't really add anything and this is a bit of a fail for a speedmap - compared to the other contributions.
map09 - nice mix of CC3 and TLSD2004 here. But it was often a bit tricky for me to figure out what I could walk off safely and what would send me to my DOOM.
map10 - bit too tight and too much stuff to trip over in places, but otherwise this is a 1st class effort.
map11 - horrible stairs and layout and miles to go to any gun. The only thing I enjoyed about this were the lifts.
map12 - not bad. Nice looks to it - it did really feel like a GW2 map. But again it suffered from having stairs that are too tight.
map13 - seemed ok, but the flow turned out to suck. Looks like the map was more of a techdemo than anything else?
map14 - the map is very uneven because at one end you have all these tight corridors and at the other it's these huge open rooms and passages. Still looks very playable though, and it's a fantastic effort for a speedmap.
map15 - reminds me of map01 again. This is no bad thing.

The music on many maps was often too annoying to bear. Oh and exits in FFA maps suck. Either get rid of them or disable them DMFLAG-side!

Lay down better rules next time - like about player limits and whether maps should allow jump or not. Although it's kinda lol that XXX (biggest supporters of Brit10 with jumping) should disable it on any other maps.
