When overtime hits the timer disappears, I guess because it doesn't go negative. I know I and at least a few other players use timers for things like health/armor/powerup respawns, and it would also be nice to know just how long overtime lasts anyway.

I'm assuming that as the counter counts down to zero, it should start counting up from zero when overtime is hit?

Additionally, would the colour of the timer be changed (say from white to green), or perhaps a + sign in front of the counter to clarify the overtime state?

Code:
245. Extended the standard timer to display in overtime too (using a + to
     indicate overtime operation).
