This is a quick 1-on-1 map I made, proven to play great after some test duels. It is still rough around the edges (I made some mistakes with texture merging), so let me know what I should change, and I might just do it. Smile

Play with typical OS dmflags (mouselook is acceptable, but no jumping!)

A shotgun stashed somewhere would have been nice, if only for the extra shells. The walls and floor are painted with enough brown so as to create little contrast.

It's a very managable map with a bouncy little layout though. Cool

Final released. Updated first post.

I did a tiny bit more work with texturing, but overall, the change is minimal. Also, I took TheCupboard's advice and tossed in two shotguns, replacing spots where the ssg used to be.

I'm still looking for more critique on this, if it could be hosted anywhere, that would be great. Wink

Errrr.. come on. Let's get this fellow some feedback. Surely I'm not the only one with an opinion about this piece. I even offered my views and I am considerably turned off by the genre of dueling to begin with! Embarassed

Good points of the map:
- Dont get stuck
- Not any detail to get stuck on
- Small and fast paced
Bad points of the map:
- Not much point going all around the map to get a rocket launcher and plasma for different hieght floors
- Very bland texturing dont even see much of an exit texture either

Possibly put the plasma gun at the other part of the map and add a BFG or do a little more with the weapons. Make the map abit bigger and a little more detailed and it could be a good map, reminds me of moo2d in some ways just needs abit more 'air'.

I'm confused, you said that it was good that it was small and fast, but then you say it needs to be a bit bigger? Also, I'm not sure what you mean by "air".

Regardless, I'm done with this map, unless I find a good reason to change it further, my test duels on this map have been nothing short of satisfactory.

I'll be getting to work on a new map sometime in the near future, and I'm definitely still taking critique on this one. Cool

Air as in it feels like it should be bigger. For example expanding the hallways abit. It can be too small where its just a spam the spawn fest and no real action.

Sweet mate glad your gunna be making more maps, from what I've seen more map experiance means better maps Smile
