It's not spoken of openly! Shark probably has it under construction in a clandestine vault.
But no. |

There is a MAP00 in n". That's as good as it gets, although I did once vaguely plan to CTF-ise the most suitable maps from Nutty1+2 *shrug*
Maybe we should do MadCTF again or something? |

Well... I'll just say this. If a NuttyCTF was made, I wouldn't leave the server.
I hope Milian reads this and convinces you to do a 12 map wad or something. I'd do it except I'm relearning mapping since its been so long, and I never really graduated from noobmapping school. |

Hey, y'know what I was pleasantly amazed to see the other day?
Scott007 - the author of the 'mad' maps - in a server he was running Madwad on |

Still going for Dwango5 TDM, 3 teams x 3 players, perhaps friendly fire on but that could cause a lot of chaos ! Could even work on the maplist... |

It might work... if monsters were turned on and map01 were skipped. |

That would be a no. Also, a list of everything that has been run so far is on page 1. |

Hahaha, with Black's edit that looks like you're refusing him. So would I! I like the DW5 TDM idea - but I'd want to play the Heretic version I think
And can I suggest sg_trogun get a re-run? It was last played on ZDS #43 and currently has no servers |

Ah, been meaning to reply to this thread again.
DW5 TDM would actually be a great idea. Looks like Kilgore will be able to help people get their DW5 fix for this week at least -- so we can wait a few more sessions before we bring it up again. And we're definitely overdue for TDM anyway!
sg_trogun is awesome and it deserves some more loving on da servers. So, affirmative!
EDIT: I also examined 2sector and prepared a maplist for it. Errm, and by "prepared" I mean "had to take a monster-sized scalpal to it". A lot of maps wouldn't be suitable for our gaming purposes but some in there are big enough that it would be possible, anyway. There are some good FFA-sized ones and a lot of DM-sized ones too. |

None really, except for maybe the playerlimit. Original Doom DM was really only for up to 4 players but these days I use the term FFA to refer to stuff involving 5 or more. So DM maps are typically smaller and they start to get very crowded if you start stuffing more people in them than what were intended.
I'm sure Cybershark could discuss this quite passionately as several of his maps were made for DM but not FFA, heh. |

Uh yeah, Cupboard explained it all quite correctly there. At the simplest level it's just a question of size. A further suggestion of mine would be that 'power' weapons should be tougher (or take longer to acquire) in FFA maps because the more players (distractions) you have running around in a map then the easier they will be to steal, and the more kills you'll be able to rack up once you possess them.
I'd be interested to know where 'FFA' was coined - in regard to deathmatching - and by whom.

The bigger ones aren't necessarily interesting enough to bother playing either. And Black's a dick. He plays ZD once in a blue moon, and only wants 2sector because he has map(s) in it. How it can fail to occur to him that games played on most of those maps would be an absolute klaasfest? |

Hey, in case when you will be low on time to prepare a new ZDS or just feel like repeating some quality, you MUST do this and this. |
