pErf3ct _DaRk_ reminded us that this poor little map pack hasn't had much love since its release. It's had a little more than say ZodiacCTF or CupCTF, but only just, and then only because the creators get games going on it. Although it's got a non-private server where you commoners can play too!
[Incidentally, CupCTF has a regular TRIPA DE GATO server for it, so don't be shy there either!]
Well now is the point where I'd vouch for the new maps in MP3. Except I haven't even glanced at them. Or if I did then it was back when the WAD was released and I've forgotten already.

Yeah, it was probably that which made me not look - or forget them since. But wait, there's other colours too!
You can also guarantee that old mapshavel be improved where necessary and that the new maps will be 'tasty'. Remember that previous EpicCTF maps have been used in Vendetta tournaments and also in IDL compilations
So enjoy them this weekend, and give those Frenchies some feedback!

I'll be there almost certainly. Indiana is probably my favorite map in terms of visuals but I haven't played any yet, so must of this will surprise me I'll bet. |

Now, as for deliberately missing out on the last one for reasons of not taking into account my suggestions ... NOT, but instead being a victim of a case of heavy sleep once again, you may expect my visit to this session yet once again.
YET ONCE AGAIN !!! AAAAAAHAHAHAHAHA ...........
Good Night. |

Indeed they were! \o/ My favorites happened to be Shinra Buildings and Indiana. The Egyptian map has gorgeous detailing but slightly confounds me when I navigate it.
The one thing I could have done without were the decorative doors and switches which were present on several levels. They served the purposes of making things look nice and making the player think she is only exploring a segment of a much larger, intricate location. On the other hand, these extra fake doors and switches are a type of design least effective in multiplayer and most effective in singleplayer. I just found them a tad confusing when there was already so much action going on.
And we had a lot of players at the US session for a change. How about that? |
