Get the latest ZLauncher, ZRC and client with Win 7 fix here!

You might experience some blinking on startup ... ignore that for now.
Be happy that fullscreen works instead Razz

Nice, it really works, i have tried it at my work.

It is funny to see those important things, fixes, updates on zd forum. Isnt it easier to put it officialy on web, instead of waiting X months till another 1.08/09/10/... will be released ? ZD updated continuously...

Well it is in the #zdplayers topic also. And who checks the homepage on a daily basis? Laughing

But really I guess it's better if only the small number of people who look for it get a fixed version in case the worst case scenario occurs and it turns out to do something bad.

I have Windows 7 64 bit, It doesnt fix my problem. I have to play in window mode to avoid the messed up palette. Which doesnt leave me choice:
- windowed high res to somehow fit the screen => problem : messages are so tiny it's unreadable
- windowed 1024x768 : small gameplay screen
- fullscreen screwy palette goodness

Is there a way to scale up the in game nessages for high res setups ?

edit : the new client link above works for full screen now, the size of the messages in 1920x1680 is still an issue

I play ZD in a windowed screen and usually if I want the window to fit the screen I just press console which allows me to move my mouse around the desktop then I maximize the window, problem solved

But bug fixes are always a good thing to hear about anyway gj
once I figure out how to get my 360 Joystick to work again I'll probably move back to Fullscreen play

When you are in the game follow these steps.

1) Hit escape.
2) Go to options.
3) Go to display options.
4) Go to messsages.
5) Change scale text in high res to "yes".

See if that helps you any.[/quote]

It seems the client is still broken at some point, Here using Windows 7 Full version 32 bits, the game palette screws up after a while of playing. I'm always forced to Alt+Tab windows to fix it. In a middle of a CTF game while carrying the flag, it gets annoying. :/

good to hear that people experience no crashes anymore and
that zdaemon is playable in fullscreen under win7 now.

we are aware that the win7 fix is not 100% done yet.
the only problem i heard was the blinking on startup or when
one tabs out and back in again.

that it screws up the palette in game while playing is new to me.
maybe when your anti virus is updating in the background and opens a window?

we will try to make it work right but none of the devs has a win 7
machine. so we might have to fix it blindly :S

What Dark describes is a problem with some background program (usually programs like MSN do this).
