Absolutely! I'm just a little perplexed by this:

Is there some special version of that particular map?

Ok, well aside from substituting Nero's original design in then it be compiled!

If anyone wants to make a title/intermission screen or a menu graphic then that'd be most welcome Wink

EDIT: Bored on a Saturday afternoon so I went ahead and made some so-so ones anyway.

We sorted that out yesterday or the day before, can't remember. And I know of a lovely surprise that you're going to cream over, Thad!

Lol, I didn't put the kilty pic in. Figured we should try and keep it serious Razz

But yeah, all done and passed back to Thad for inspection. Hopefully I didn't make any huge balls-ups with the compilation and this tournament will be up and running real soon Cool

Very Happy

Shame 'hands' doesn't have a replacement for the SSG. 'Hearts' does rock though.

I did put some in the text file with the WAD but they were just guesstimates. It's Thad's party, and so his call.

Seems he was happy enough with pack if he's passing around links, so I'll get it uploaded to the major wad hosts now.

i don't want to hijack the sign up thread, so i'm redirecting my whining here.

Thadeuss wrote:
Sorry mate, I thought we discussed this a few weeks ago with Mortal and a few others in the channel.

eff that. discussed? yes, with no conclusion. you told me we would deal with this issue later. never happened.

Thadeuss wrote:
Clans are allowed one team only. If we have a terribly poor turn out of clans, then maybe we can have more than one team, but for now no. Some clans such as I>. QnB, THE, PLAS etc don't have enough players to field two active teams. Clans like UBR and CI would have an advantage then in fielding more than one team each, hell UBR could probably field 4 teams.

we have a strong roster capable of making two teams. these people came to our clan to play high stakes ctf, which is prominent in competitive games. to win, you need to train and get used to your team. rotating ~8 players in one team is retarded. forging a 'B team' and letting it play just the less challenging opponents is condescending and robs them of the reason they came to the clan in the first place. ignoring them for the sake of top efficiency... ehh, are you asking me to drive them out of the clan or what?

Thadeuss wrote:
While it may cause annoyance to the clans with bigger rosters (especially my own), I think it would cause a conflict of interest with clans being able to affect results through fixing etc.

i call bs. this logic dictates i should ban either mortal or welkin from euro 1on1 tourneys, because frankly, where else will you find greater potential for match fixing? 'etc' doesn't exactly calm my anger.

of course, vendetta is your tourney, so YOU run it as you see fit. organizing shit is tough and someone will always end up pissed off. i'm bitching, because it's unfair from my perspective. therefore, i won't press on the matter and just shut up and fuck off. as i said, there's enough people in CI to play even without myself.
Hope that clears that up.

Yes, but this is a tournament between clans and if one clan has like 2 or 4 teams, they have much better chance to win the tourney, which is unfair for the smaller clans. It's like some guy is playing a tourney, loses and he comes back "Lol guise I'm back who do I play".

Okay well not exactly, but hopefully you get the point.

Agreed.

In the past we've had Zdaemon CTF tourneys in which the teams were not limited to or by clans. Vendetta is.

If you want the kind of rumble you're suggesting then you know what to do about it Mr. Tourney Admin Razz

Actually, I don't see a real problem with a second team from another clan if the teams are predefined apart from maybe bad sportmanship. And I seriously doubt a situation of bad sportmanship will happen. The more teams signing up, the more we can demolish. Wink

Ronald did you even read what Tuomio wrote? Yet still you 'see no problem' with clans signing up more than one team? Rolling Eyes

How about if I want to enroll 7 different plas teams then? They will all be the same core players but will all vary by one member so they are all quite different teams. This would give absolutely no advantage to our anti-klaas group and I don't see any problem with it Laughing

Anyways, this isn't even a discussion. For one then you've had months to bring this up. Causing a scene at the time of the sign-ups is not on. But moreover this is just not the way Vendetta has worked in the past and it has never been an issue in the last two battles so why is it suddenly a problem now?

Respect Thad's format or arrange your own damn tournies.

I did read that, and that's why I said I don't see a problem if these teams are predefined. For example, if you have 6 active members all eager to play, you can submit two teams containing 3 people. Example:

Team 1
Member 2
Member 4
Member 6

Team 2
Member 1
Member 3
Member 5

I still don't see a problem if that's the format. Just expressing my opinion on the matter.

It's really not rocket science Roland, and I thought Tuomio explained it well enough:

2 teams = double the chances that a clan may win.

This tourney is about clans rather than teams, ergo this is a bad idea.

But within CI we have two teams that play against eachother anyways (Alpha/Omega (Cool we know)) and we'd love to split them in Vendetta, but we can't so fair enough.
