Threeway CTF seems to have slumped in popularity again which is a shame as it's always rollicking good fun. I released a new version of the original 3way project around the same time as Spacepirate finished his other pack but as I didn't want to compete with his then I didn't hype it.

Big changes since last release are:
    3 new maps!
Moved a couple of horrible maps out of the regular rotation!
GhostlyDeath's 'The Whole Three Yards' is now twice the size, and better suited for more players
Worst's 'RGB' has had visibility improved
Spacepirate's 'Permanence' had a few fixes and additions
Roland's huge castle map got shrunk down and detailed up
My 'Wolf3nst3in' map has been simplified (I used the old central area as the starting point for the new Wolf layout)
Xsnake's 'Black and Mirrors' is now a little less spamtacular
Firmer & Worst's 'Dink's Smunkers' has better visibility (fog removed)
Firmer's 'Station of Gruby' got a serious overhaul

    Game Mode: CTF
    WADs: 3wayctf-b4
    monster_skins_team
    3wayvox

    Maps: 22 (01-21, 00)
    DMFLAGS: 279556 / 33554433
Teams: 3 - pretty important this!
Players: 15 (autobalancing) +1 spectator slot
Other stuff: NM skill, 5 flags, 10 mins on the clock, no team-autoaim and map voting.

    Date: 24th October 2009
Time: 7:30pm UK Time / 9:00 pm EST
    Locations: Locations: L@P/XXX/Kruk / Unfy

A popping pick for this week. 3-Way CTF enjoyed a lot of popularity over the summer months. Let's recapture some of that magic. Surprised

I believe I've gotten my server up and running. I too will have to miss this one - I've got the squirt this weekend Smile

As far as the issues that were plaguing last week's ZDS and my server... as well as some intermittent lag spikes on my servers... I've found out what the problem was. I apparently have a hard drive failing Sad. Early next week I'll bug the hosting company about getting it replaced. Server is raid1, so I shouldn't lose any data.

I must admit - that is a good wad overall, although I'm not totally impressed by 3-way CTF. With those funny skins and a fresh vox set up for ZDS it created a nice funtmosphere. My ZDS tastes have been satisfied. 5/5.
I'm sorry I left the USA session so soon though, but I was tired as hell, almost 5 AM on the clock IIRC. Smile

I got there late, but had the opportunity to play half of it. Let's have a mid-week session!

Well if you can show up midweek then we'll have one to celebrate! Laughing

Lol, people usually say it's the other way around! I'm curious what it was you didn't like about the mode?
I'd also really like to hear any feedback people may have on the individual maps in the original 3way thread

On the subject of the Euro sesh:
Code:
<phenex2> how was yesterdays zds? i couldnt attend ;_;
<Marax> it was a big fail
<Marax> unbalanced teams
<Marax> and stuff
<The_Kop-vd-plas> Rly?
<The_Kop-vd-plas> When I left it was looking like sum good 2on2on2
<Marax> i joined exactly then
<Marax> and after 5 minutes it was a 6-2-1
<Marax> or 5 -2 -1
<phenex2> idiots
<Marax> i dunno
<Marax> it was crap

I know it's the fault of the imbeciles that unbalance the teams... but still, why did neither server have autobalance, despite me asking for it??

It was 7-4-3 or something at one point...but still it was great to see 5v5v5 for the first time in 3-way.

Sometimes they were balanced, but then people kept joining the wrong team. Well, it's public CTF after all, without autobalance it will always happen.
However, it was still lots of fun.

It's more chaotic, I often find myself lost in the current situation on the battlefield. For fun games it's ok for me though! Smile
