I did some lurking on the Skulltag forums (Eww...) and came across a nifty link to a person hosting compiled versions of Doom Builder 2 as they come out. These are BETAS and may crash. I just thought this may be a useful thing to post here for the mappers.

I was actually scrubbing together a build with ZDaemon configurations, and hell, tried but failed to work in sectinfo support, however this seems ok for now - it works and seems to be from a reliable source. |

i wouldn't even bother using it for serious mapping its not even complete and most of the features are not quite done. |

Hahaha, the scary thing is that those kids are probably making better maps than people who want their maps put on servers
EDIT: Kruk, I don't know about everybody else but I'm getting really sick of seeing your negative and uniform 'two words + emoticon' replies around these forums. If they're found in my domains then they're just gonna be heading out the same door as ZombieMachine's posts from now on. |

First of all, you posted it in the wrong section of the forums. Why would you want to discuss Doom Builder in general offtopic chatter? Plus the fact this thread was already here and yours didn't add anything new, the thread was deleted and will be further discussed here.
I downloaded it and I couldn't install it at first. The installer got stuck on when trying to download Microsoft.net Frame-something. So I decided to take the advise from the website and downloaded and installed all possible updates for Windows XP. After that, Doom Builder worked like a charm.
Will need to play around with it a bit more before I can give a decent opinion, but the first impressions are definitely good. |

No, his thread is still intact over in Offtopic. I think he's moaning because I deleted another one of his posts. (And if you really don't know the difference between threads and posts by now then obviously you shouldn't be here.)
Zombie, if you post something interesting or worthwhile then then chances are it will be left here. If you're just making stupid responses that don't add anything to threads or crying about stuff then there is no reason for them to stay. That's not me picking on you, that's just policy in any part of the forum I mod. Now read this, take it in and go meditate on it. Do not reply because I think you can guess what'll happen, right?
ON-TOPIC:
Having the same trouble with .NET Ronnie. But if you say it's possible then I believe you! |

Well i installed it took about 5 min to get passed on the NET frame thing.
Overall for a noob ( in mapping! ) like me its pretty user friendly but i getting way more crashes than i ever did especially if a texture has the wrong name and then i go to change it "bam" error and then the odd crash when exiting test mode |
