Funny thing national pride is. People get all territorial about stuff and want to prove that their part of the world can do stuff just as well as anybody else can.

In the case of CTF maps and quality per release then no other country can touch the Dutch. You got Tennie, Spacepirate, Exl, Da_maniaC. Oh and Prawnald... hrmm... ok, guess my theory about them having a 100% batting average goes out the window then Razz

With OCMP the Aussies and Kiwis want to prove that they haven't been left behind when it comes to mapping for this gamemode. I'm unsure quite where this project is currently at, if it's run out of steam or if they're all happy with it now but it's something that's been crying out for attention and so this week it gets some ZDS lovin' Smile

The maps are perhaps a little uninspiring to look at but it's clear post-32in24 that nobody gives a crap about that. They're bold, brassy, quite raw in places but will never have you running around desperately trying to find a weapon or a flag.

    Game Mode: CTF
    WADs: OCMP1.2
    Facevox2
Tskins1A (Yes, 1a, Not the usual 1e. Why? I know we don't take ZDS terribly seriously but I still loathe confusing skins in team games so the ones that have some red in them and shortguy are out)
    Maps: 15 (01-15)
    DMFLAGS: 283716/688128
    Players: 12 (6on6 + 4 spectator slots)
Other stuff: the usual - NM skill, 2 teams, 5 flags, 15mins on the clock, 0% Team Damage

    Date: Saturday 13th September 2008
Time: 7:30pm UK Time / 9:00 pm EST
    Locations: PlassedHosts/KlaasedEarth, OneEightSeven/[TotalTrash]

You know teh drill by now - be there or be square Very Happy

OMG ITS KILL

I've been on a long hiatus; with school starting and me making drumline, I had no time for ZD, but now I do Very Happy

But not this week, I'm dead in the path of Hurricane Ike, expected to hit tomorrow night, so I'm gonna be gone for a couple days

Excelent wad, i must say. Not too much detail... but in CTF, who cares anyway Smile

Is a strong competitor to zdctfmp, i think.

But i'm not optimistic. Even if it becomes the ctf wad of choice, the people will end playing 3 or 4 maps over all the others. Sad

I had lots of fun in this one, even if i suspected that some people was haxoring ... and lost every match but one, lol...

Also, the skins was a nice addition, i lol'd when some guy mentioned my fat chin Very Happy

will we see this hosted on a lot of servers now?

its interesting that alot of oceania players think that this wad is rubbish and aren't interested in playing it anymore.

i agree that it has some good maps which are of equivalent fun of zdctfmp.

I had a ball... there's definitely some great CTF in there. And the skins were sexcellent. The death frame for Mr. Chex always make me giggle.

ja
I played for about an hour, went out to pick up dinner, ate dinner, ate dessert, came back to see the server not only up but have 10+ people still playing in it, and played for another hour before I called it a night. (a zds night!)

was amazing.

Lol, actually I meant that was how long it was until Europe kicked off. Funnily enough though that was about how long the US side went on for Smile

CHINOBI!!!

And heh, the skins were a total accident. I meant for it to be Tskins1a but the link I gave was for 'STskins1a'. They made a really nice change though and I'm sure we'll see them again sometime Smile

And this pack proved to be quite enjoyable despite the odd glitch. I posted a breakdown of my findings over in the WAD editing thread if anyone cares to read it.
