So I was messing around in the DB config files and thought it would be cool to add the red and blue player starts, and CTF flags. Idea

You can folow the instructions below and add the thing types yourself, or you can skip to the bottom of this post and dl the cfg files. EDIT: (The downloaded ones are slightly different now, I went ahead and made a whole new categorey for the ctf flags.)

EG:
to add these to Doom in Hexen format open Zdoom_DoomHexen.cfg with notepad (or similar text editor)

about 2/3rd of the way down (in the brackets '{}' containing player starts)
add:

5080
{
title = "ZDaemon-Blue player start";
sprite = "PLAYF1";
}
5081
{
title = "ZDaemon-Red player start";
sprite = "PLAYF1";
}

then go further down (to the keys section) and add:

5130
{
title = "ZDaemon-Blue-flag";
sprite = "RKEYA0";
}
5131
{
title = "Zdaemon-Red-flag";
sprite = "BKEYA0";
}

make sure all of the text is within the
players
{
}
area
and
keys
{
}
area, or you'll get a syntax error when you try to open DB.

Alternativly; you could download these files and put them in your DB directory (replacing the old ones, btw you might have to right-click save as)
ZDoom_Doom.cfg
ZDoom_DoomHexen.cfg
anyway, thought it might help so you don't have to remember the thing #'s.

Note: DB uses a GNU General Public License

Oh, heh, GhostlyDeath did this quite some time back Smile
Has all the green/white/neutral stuff in there too but he took out some stuff he shouldn't have.

I have a spiffier one I made which put that stuff back in and gives the starts the right colours and shows you their orientations too.

Tired now, might upload 'em tomorrow.

Meh, you weren't to know. Sadly the chances of getting CodeImp to bundle any ZDaemon configs in with DoomBuilder are pretty slight and they're obscure to find otherwise. Your effort is appreciated anyway.

Ok, so here's the updated configs I have:

Zdaemon (Doom)
GhostlyDeath's original.

Zdaemon (Doom in Hexen)
My version which fills the gaps in GD's version, shows direction and colour of teamstarts, etc. Has some overlap of colours between item classes which I need to go back and address sometime.

Zdaemon (Heretic in Hexen)
Chaindude pointed out to me that this config didn't display the game sprites when in editing mode so I fixed it and threw in the Team stuff too.
