They should all work , unless you on a router or behind a firewall.

If you have a router or firewall open a port say 21348 then in your server config put it to that port.

I don't know if this is in the document that Russell linked to, but it should be. You cannot join a game from your own computer because windows is stupid. You need to load up zdaemon and tell it to connect to 127.0.0.1 (or localhost) and join it that way. Like I said, windows is stupid.

yeah, some routers wont let you connect through them even with port forwarding
if you are hosting the server on the same machine you are connecting to
