Are Oceanic teams eligible to compete?

I'd say not. the servers seem to be purely euro and us. but it would be nice if we were included...somehow....

I said this in both here and here, but we need some volunteers to either join, or temporarily join our clan in case we can't have all 3 of our active members together the same night of these tourney matches. If anyone could either help out, or knows someone who wants to join the tourney, but not in the clan, please let them know we could use them. I wanted to rotate some matches with the members, but if its 3 vs 3, all three of us need to be at every single match. I don't think that'll be too awfully hard, but ya never know. And if the unexpected happens, we have no backups. So please, if anyone could, pass this along. Thanks soo much to anyone who does. Very Happy

Hmm, I don't wanna sound like an ass, but it would make things so much better for everyone if EU had its own tlsxctf tourney. It's difficult enough getting North American teams to have _all_ members online at the same time, then schedule a match time.

Euro teams introduce more chances of a match not getting played or taking forever to do so (thanks to time zones, no less).

I suggest a round robin type tournament if team count is small

is that where you only play the same number of players, so if I am missing one, then it'll be a 2 on two?

no.. its when you play each team a certain amount of times, and at the end the teams with better records either win or go to a playoff

oh, cool. So even if we lose 2 of 3 matches, if its a 2 on 3 we might still win? Would that mean it'll be based on frags? Its hard to win any matches if theres 2 of you and 3 of them.

Kandy_kid suggested that be the case for Euro teams, if another one signs up, that way the North American teams can play single-elimination.

Chaindude does bring up a good point. It will be difficult to get all members going, and time seems to be the only thing that holds these matches off.
Perhaps we could have a Western Hemisphere vs Eastern Hemisphere match up. The winner of the Western Hemisphere could play the winner of the Eastern Hemisphere. Sort of like the NBA with Western confrence champion vs Eastern Confrence Champions. That way, everyone gets to play on both sides of the world, but the match up of each side of the world isn't left out.

To Kandy's suggestion: Round Robin would be great, but the only problem is that it seems as if the amount of teams registered would never get the required amount of games finished to successfully pull this off.
I think that type of tournament style works great (we used it in LANada [but even then, it presented it's problems with people playing due to fatigue]).

Either way, I think both ideas here could somewhat be applied. I hope these suggestions aren't forgotten. The better the competition, the more progress ZDaemon clan action will see down the road, as well as tournament action in general. So please, LET'S GET IT STARTED!

Yeah this sounds reasonable, but I guess it´s a great chance to play some other team than Euro guys.. Even though it is not very comparable to have a Euro vs US team, still it´s quite fun and GGs to play new players Smile
