Hello, I have started a new SP project, called Doom: Project Uber-Soldat Reborn. inspired by Return The Castle Wolfenstein. It includes new sounds, new textures, new weapons, new skins etc.
Weapon so far made:
Shotgun = Mauser 98k
Chaingun = Thompson
Pistol = Colt 45
Fist = Combat Knife
Skins so far:
Sergeant = Nazi-soldier
I do not copy the levels from RTCW. There is no complicated storyline here, tho your mission is kill the damn nazies and destroy THE PLAN OF EVIL NAZI GENERAL HERR KRANKERWERSTERBRAUCHEN
btw, I know that wolffendoom has been made.. but this is just different.
Comments appreciated !

Looks pretty good. I would play it
I'm hoping to see some badass enemy replacements also
might be ahead of me but I would put in custom sounds in german for the enemies to say |

Well, I think his point is that he'd need other sounds for people from other countries within Nazi territory or with a Nazi alliance. Thus, 'e 'as the German Nazis covered.
The screenshots look quite unlike anything I've seen for Doom before; particularly the second, with its map wall-hanging. It's generally got an attention to realism that not many maps so far published have included. I wish the best o' luck to ye with this project's development!
(I also note that if you make it suitable for small coop games, you might be able to start a general anti-coopbuild trend in coop mapping, but that's just a hope.) |

Hey if you have a mapping fetish and you have played RTCW and you're talented mapper and you wanna map for Project: Uber-Soldat Reborn, message me. Of course no one(?) has the same mapping style as I do, but ZDLauncher 1.10 will be released before I get this done, so I need help. Mappers will get all of my textures and other resources, such as sounds. (Enemies conversations,.. ambient sounds etc.) And mappers agree that when their map is ready, they send the map to me and I may make slight changes if needed. So dont get angry I have planned to make atleast 20 maps. I have also planned the maps aswell, follows the story n shit. If mapper wants a decent theme I tell him the map number.
Themes:
Village, City atmosphere (map01, map02)
Catacombs, underground city, crypt, ancient tunnels
Military bases (if you have played RTCW= Norway)
Labs, Modern shit (X-Labs (havent made the textures yet))
....
And if you come up with an idea, just tell me \o/
Download the demo version of my project to see what i've done so far.
(map01 and map02)
(I havent made the interpics or anything like that yet also.. If someone wanna make em and help me with this project, very much appreciated )
The most important idea here is to make SP friendly, interactive, cool n detailed maps. |
