Surprised that so many players want to play coop. I guess its much less stressfull than competitive tourneys against other players. I for one think its a bad idea.

less stressful? a bad idea? would you care to explain the basis behind this thinking?

and rofl, how would it not be competing against other players? you're going for as many kills in the shortest time with a partner but all the time you're watching that clock and without slowing down hoping you've nailed more bad guys than the other contenders. how would that not be stressful? Confused
also i'm pretty sure TUD made a WAD that could be played by two teams at once.

Well for one thing, imps dont use bfg's, and shotgun dudes dont wallstrafe at you and unload ssg's in your face Wink

well y'know i have a WAD here which has BFG firing imps Wink
superfast SSG shotgun guys? sure, we can do that too!

you're looking at it totally wrong though. coop has nothing to do with the strength or speed of a single enemy. it's about how you deal with waves of (less intelligent) opposition and how you can move through them as fast as possible if you're playing it competetively.

I see what you mean. Its just that it seems unnecessary. Basically it all comes down to skill. Sure Im all for coop, and i bet it requires quite a bit
of skill and speed to complete successfully. Its just that where is the reward? I mean if you complete the map 0.394 seconds quicker than the other guy, does it really make you a better player than him? Anyone could probably get REALLY "good" at this just by playing through the wad a 1000 times. In direct matches against other opponents you can really feel the difference.

Its so much more than just learning the map by heart, or knowing all the moves.

However if people want to play it, and someone wants to make it....

Personally i voted for the TDM but if a coop tourney was up and running also/instead i'd consider entering it if the wad wad good. I've been put off coop alot by what i like to call "synchronised spamming wads" you all know which ones are guilty.... Rolling Eyes

Dwango 5 Map 07, by far the best. However, something from an actual TDM wad may be more suitable, Vex-Zdaemon for example or - insert cybershark's new/unheard of suggestion here Smile -
