I'm getting quite a few people adding new versions before the old one has been hosted, which is a bit of a problem, as everything needs to be edited, the old versions deleted, reviews edited etc. Can you please have a really good look round your work before submitting for review. For now i'll stop sending the wads on to GSN until I'm actually going to host them, the updated wads I've been told about will need to have their reviews and links edited by the actual reviewer otherwise my name will go on as the reviewer. Also please remember to change the wad name, once they have been sent to GSN I cannot delete the old ones.
Thanks. |

blair, hate to say this but I hate both of them. freewebs is hard to get files off of the server, and rapid share is upload and pass the link and hope you write it down. I use walagata.com for smaller wads, they allow up to 3mb space and 2gig bandwith. I have 2 wads on there 1 with a bunch of alternate junk added and im only taking up 130kb |

I would like to throw this out: I am currently allowing my computer to host up to 5 servers, I have 3 dedicated for things and am willing to loan the other 2 out for hosting if needed |

i'd like to make a suggestion for improving the format of ZDReview. it would initially entail a bit of forum redesign work but i think it would only prove beneficial for everyone concerned.
i can't help but notice that Samiam is having to run herself ragged catering for a lot of people who can't decide when their WAD is complete. also, a lot of stuff that's designated 'unfinished' is being thrown up for full review.
and there seems to be quite a 'grey area' inbetween of stuff that no one can decide what to do with. it's all gotten a bit messy IMO.
could the ZDR forum perhaps be split down the middle into:
WADs that are 100% done which are passed to the official review team (and end up on the ZDR page).
works-in-progress that can be dissected by the community and re-evaluated by the creator until they are eventually made ready for a full review treatment (or abandoned )
as far as the GSN hosting goes, that would be at the review team's discression. obviously if someone contributes a mapset with no items or player starts then it's not gonna happen
but it would provide the opportunity for authors of WADs that are almost done to receive 'in the field' tips and pointers.
thanks for listenin' |

while uploading wads today I noticed a couple of them had text files called mapinfo.txt.... to avoid your files being over written and to make the text files easy to find, please name them the same as your wad, e.g noob.zip should contain noob.wad and noob.txt
Thanks |

Hey Samiam, I'm making my own Coop WAD and I got a few questions:
1. It's going to be a 32-map WAD. Does ZDReview take WADs with all 32 maps? My WAD will be compatible with all source ports, so no ZDoom special effects.
2. What do you mean by "SP"? |
