ZDaemon complains when "too many" frames are used for an animated texture. I managed to trigger it with 45 frames for a texture. ZDoom does not have such limitation (or if it does, it is certainly a lot higher).
EDIT: Currently the maximum number of frames of an animation is 32.
The request is not utterly important since animated textures can be worked around with Set Line ID-s and SetLineTexture via ACS. |

I remember hitting this wall - although I'm sure I only got as far as 22 frames?
As you say, it can be worked around with scripting. It's also not something that people commonly need to do, but if the limit is just some arbitrary value then it could only make sense to remove it. |

Maximum ANIMDEFS frames enlarged to 128 (same value as ZDoom).
Demo wad: test_flags128
Added for 1.10.06. |
