As a player from this tourney, i'll say a good game, Perrondon.
I wasn't really wored after our game, i was a little bit after i saw the demo and i was MORE wored after i saw yours.
Now I'm really sure your connection give a big desavantage to the oppenent.
The problem is just not about lagy move and bullshot, its about when you saw and shoot me when im not on your target ( due to the delay ).
I really don't like to cry and trying to find excuse, you know, we talked about it yesterday. But after examinating and working on your/my demos, i can clearly see how you can win after -10 frags. Someone used to play with wifi lag give him a real advantage to win again a low/normal/high pinger.
The real strategie to do again high pinger and wifi players like Perrondon ( no offense ) is: Spawnkill, ssg shoot at 2 cm of your oppenent, bfg kill and telefragging. And as i said to you and to jac0b after our game, "WIFI/WIMAX players should be NOT authorized to play a tourney."
Sorry for that, but as TheCupboard said, we, french, rarelly surrender ^^ |

This is why we wanted to disqualifies Perrondon from the last season ZCL, after some players were complaining, but all things considered, since he was alleging against, telling us his team mates (some other Mexicans) would leave the League for that or force them to, we preferred to forget and let it go.
That said he seems to know and master Moo2d well though.
P.S. Jacob, It's good to see you uploading the games on youtube with music on. One thing I might recommend to you : Switch the POV when scores are getting tight, it's always interesting to see the reactions of your opponent. |

I thought of it, but then thought that I'd likely receive complaints from people about it, that the cuts weren't made at the right times, or that the match should be viewable from one POV, or both. I decided to post the winner's POV. I think it serves well as a record of the match. It can also be helpful to those looking to learn about the styles of the various players.
I have the .zdd ZD demo files and will make them all available for download at the end of the tournament. You can switch POV however you like then. |

FSN has brought to our attention some technical issues that he claims to have experienced in his match with Perrondon. FSN claims that WiFi connections produce results that are undesirable, especially during tournament play.
FSN's analysis of his match.

Thank you Jac0b.
I can't really try to contest more about this cus of my english, but movie is talk clearly what i mean.
All competitive players used to buy a monster computer, optimize the most possible the game and buying a fucking great mouse. A unknow optimization on zdaemon is : " Play with WIFI/WIMAX"
But i must say that Perron is a fair and good player. He said me " He'll be sad to win the tourney with this connexion cus he know it give him a advantage " He is honest. I will participated to the next jac0b's ladder tourney. Good luck to all and specially to edd, my gay friend of [TM]. Win this fucking tourney and show them how a non zd players can play! |

Check out FSN's detailed analysis of his match. |
That's how client-predictions are about...
Also, the fact that packet losses can give unfair advantage over another player (and Wi-Max DOES produce packet losses, it's kinda a 3G variance), and that Zdaemon does not help much fighting against that (well, it's client-prediction's handling is as far the worst I've seen compared to the other 2 ports at the moment, even at v1.10b01)...
Also, knowing the fact that we cannot access the connection netstats when playbacking a demo, it's twice as awful at the moment, as we cannot completely see when he did get packetlosses or not...
Whatever, the way to win on Zd in an unfair way: Get packet-losses (and high ping while we're at it) and frag with ease. |
