I highly doubt. On the different architecture issue, I do not know, it is maybe possible, I am no expert on that. The main problem with Zdaemon is that it is closed source D: No way you can get a 1.09 source to compile anyway.

Nonsense, plenty of people have made ZDaemon patches using the 1.06 source code that have made their way into ZDaemon. The main problem with this request is priority. Something like this isn't really big on to to do list, when there's a million other things that people would like to see first such as widescreen support. Perhaps one day we'll see a ZDaemon ARM port, but I don't see it happening anytime soon unless someone decides to make it themselves.

Yes, but he doesn't want to make a patch, but compile a recent server for himself to run on ARM. He can't do that with a 8 year old code since people use 1.09 and not 1.06.. On the top of that, only windows source code is available, and he wants to run it on debian.

heh what? is it not obvious that he is most likely asking us if WE can compile an arm compatible server for him?
the answer is that the server will probably not compile for arm. if somebody can tell me how i can EASILY setup a cross compilation toolchain for debian i might try though.

Whatever..just assumed he wants to make it himself, otherwise this would belong to the feature requests. Seems I was wrong, though.

Um sorry for long response, well i don't care i just wondered if i can run somehow my custom server (servers*) on RPi. I talked with Kilgore and he said that he has no time and it should veery time demaning cuz he must tweak and rewrite code for ARM and simply compile that wouldn't be such easy...

i guess you missed my offer to try and compile it for arm ...
anyways i managed to get a working toolchain and built a 1.09 server for the raspberry pi.

if it actually runs is another question. get on irc and we can find out.

The two things (1.10 betas and the specific problem) are about as related to each other as coffee and air balloons Wink
